This is my newest totally acrylic painting and I was in love with it but now not so much. It doesn’t pop, glow. The burnt sienna in acrylic isn’t vibrant like it is in oil. I think I am going to start with taking out the bottom two figures and changing the background with some glazes and maybe some stamps. Also, by elongating the legs of the second boy on the left to intersect with the third man running. Need to distort the figures a bit more. Supposed to be in Burridge style, which at this it definitely is not. I’ m not even sure if I should be writing or painting. But, writing is supposed to help artists. My time is so limited. As usual I have spread myself too thin, but I think this painting has potential. I will welcome any suggestions. January 25, 2010
